Dhanbad-Patna InterCity Express 13331/1332 now also operates on Sundays apart from the regular Monday to Saturday operating days. This new development came into effect on March 12, Sunday, Dhanbad Railway Division public relations officer Dev Kumar told News 18. The Dhanbad-Patna InterCity Express 13331/1332 is the only rail connecting the two cities during the day connects.

The Gangadamodar Express starts operations at 23:20 and the Patliputra Express starts at 03:35. Due to these strange times, there was no way for the locals from Dhanbad to travel to Patna during the day. Now that the Dhanbad-Patna InterCity Express 13331/1332 is expanding operations to Sunday, help out the city’s residents.
Train number 13331 starts operations at 08:05 from Dhanbad and arrives in Patna at 17:30. Train number 13332 starts operations at 08:30 from Dhanbad and arrives in Patna at 18:40. On this route, both trains stop at the Barakar, Chittaranjan, Jamtara, Vidyasagar and Madhupur junctions. Jasidih Junction, Simultala, Jhajha, Gidhaur, Jamui, Mananpur, Kiul Junction and Lakhisarai Junction are also covered by these trains. Badhiya, Hathidah Junction, Mokama Junction, Barh, Bakhtiyarpur Junction, Khusrupur and Rajendra Nagar Terminals are also on the same route.
Apart from this facility, other features for passengers will also be included to support those commuting via Dhanbad Railway Station. Dhanbad railway station will be redesigned considering its importance on a global scale. As stated in the report published on Jagran.com, new roads are planned to be built to allow the trains running at this station to pass smoothly. These roads are designed with the freight corridor in mind.
