Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Brezza CNG to the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 9.14 lakh (ex-showroom). Offered in a total of four variants, namely LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi Dual Tone, it is the brand’s 14th CNG product in India. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG is identical in appearance and equipment to its ICE counterparts.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG comes with a plethora of premium features in the form of alloy wheels, power sunroof, cruise control, 7-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and keyless push start. Equipped with Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG technology, it features an integrated petrol and CNG fuel filler cap, a dedicated CNG driving mode, digital and analogue CNG fuel gauges and an illuminated fuel selector switch.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG is powered by the same 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 86.6 hp at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 121.5 Nm at 4,200 rpm. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the neatly integrated CNG cylinder that comes with an aesthetic cover, it delivers a mileage of 25.51 km/kg. With the launch of the Brezza CNG, all cars sold through the Maruti Suzuki Arena are now available with the option of a CNG variant.
“It is also worth noting at this point that S-CNG models account for 24 percent of total sales at the Maruti Suzuki Arena. And CNG sales for hot-selling models like the Ertiga and WagonR account for 57 percent and 41 percent of total model sales, respectively. Furthermore, with government initiatives aimed at spreading CNG pumps across the country, these numbers are likely to increase in the coming years,” Srivastava added.
