This time Hyundai has revealed that the new Verna will get 30 standard safety features, including 6 airbags as standard for all variants. The new Verna will also get Hyundai Smartsense with 17 Level 2 ADAS functions activated by the front camera and front and rear radar-based functions.
The company also said that the ADAS functions are suitable for all climates and work even in fog. The new Verna will also get over 65 advanced safety features such as ESC, VSM, HAC, 4WD disc brakes, EPB, ECM, TPMS and many more.
Speaking of 17 Level 2 ADAS features offered with the sedan. It gets collision alerts and support for cars, pedestrians, intersections, and bikes. Blind Spot Collision Alert and Assist, Lane continues to assist with Departure Alert, Driver Attention Alert and Safe Exit Alert.

Driving comfort features include intelligent cruise control with stop-and-go, lane departure warning, follow-up assistant, high-beam assistant and departure warning for vehicles ahead. Parking safety features include rear cross-traffic collision alert and collision avoidance assist.
Speaking of features, the new Verna will get 10.25-inch dual screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system, a power sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and wireless charging. The new Verna also gets a switchable controller with dual functions. The volume and radio settings can be adjusted using the rotary controls, but you can also switch to climate controls at the push of a button.
The new Verna will be available in two engine variants – a 1.5-litre NA engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. The new Verna will be available in four variants, EX, S, SX and SX(O), and seven single-tone and two two-tone exterior paint options will be offered. The company will also introduce three new color options – Abyss Black, Atlas White and Tellurian Brown.
At launch, the new Verna continues to compete with Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Maruti Ciaz and Honda City.
