The next generation of Infinix’s entry-level Hot series is just around the corner. One of the models, the Infinix Hot 30i, appeared on the Google Play Console, promising a solid performance boost.
The Hot 20i was launched in late September 2022 with a Helio G25 that has eight Cortex-A53 cores. The 30i is said to use the Unisoc T606, a 12nm chip with 2x Cortex-A75 and 6x Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G57 MP1. Hardly a speed demon, but the increase in performance should be noticeable.
This model, the X669, was configured with 4GB of RAM and runs full Android 12. The 20i had two versions, one with full Android 12 and one with 12 Go Edition (some versions used the Helio A22 with a quad-core CPU ). .

Rumor has it that the Hot 30i could have up to 8GB of physical RAM in some configurations, coupled with another 8GB of virtual RAM. The storage capacity is 128 GB. The old model had a microSD slot, this one might as well.
Other rumors include a 50MP main rear camera (up from just 13MP on the 20i), a 6,000mAh battery (up from 5,000mAh) and a fingerprint reader (moved from the rear to the side). However, the display sticks to the HD+ resolution, specifically 720 x 1,612 pixels.
If you feel like the Infinix Hot 30i is headed in a premium direction, it’s not just your imagination – the phone will reportedly feature a premium ‘glass-like’ finish in blue, black and white colors and a ‘marigold’ (orange) Version with leather-like structure.
In addition to the 30i, there will also be a Hot 30 and Hot Play model. The new series is expected to launch in India on March 27th.
