TL;DR
- A leaker has claimed that the Pixel Fold will retail for $1,300 to $1,500.
- The tipster goes on to add that the Pixel 7a will cost $450 to $500.
A recent leak suggests that Google will unveil the mid-range Pixel 7a smartphone and the foldable Pixel Fold at the Google I/O conference in May. Now a reliable tipster has released rough pricing information for these two phones.
Frequent leaker Yogesh Brar has repeated a May launch for the Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold at Google I/O. But Brar also claimed that the Pixel Fold could be cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4.

More specifically, the tipster claims the foldable Pixel could cost $1,300 to $1,500. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 cost $1,800 in the US. So the Google Foldable could be as much as $300-$500 cheaper than the Samsung phone.
Brar also suggests the Pixel 7a will retail for $450 to $500. The price of $450 would match the Pixel 6a. However, leaked specs suggest we could see welcome additions like wireless charging and a high refresh rate screen.
Nonetheless, the apparent Pixel Fold pricing could be the latest sign that Fold-style foldable phones are falling in price. For one, Honor recently launched the €1,599 Magic Vs, which is €200 cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in Europe. Meanwhile, budget-minded brand TECNO is offering its Phantom V Fold handset in India for Rs 90,000 (~ Rs 1,088 $) compared to the Rs 155,000 (~$1,873) price of the Z Fold 4.
Leaker Yogesh Brar has suggested that the Pixel Fold might retail between $1,300 and $1,500, being cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4, which costs $1,800. The Pixel 7a is suggested to be priced between $450 and $500. The leak aligns with Google’s rumoured plan to unveil both devices at the Google I/O conference in May. Honor Magic Vs, which costs €1,599, and TECNO’s Phantom V Fold with a price of Rs 90,000 (~$1,088) in India, are examples of foldable phones lowering in price compared to Samsung’s high-end phone.
