It’s a special day for Karan Johar. The filmmaker is celebrating his mother’s 80th birthday. To mark the special occasion, Karan shared several pictures of himself with his mother. While some snaps were flashbacks with Hiroo Johar, others captured adorable mother-son moments. The photo album also included pictures from Hiroo Johar’s cake cutting ceremony. We admit that our eyes lingered on the two delicious cakes for more than a minute.

The first was a kiwi and dragon fruit topping cake that came with sprigs of chocolate and pink floral details. Next to it was a gold-colored cake, which was basically a crunchy topping, with candles and the words “Cheers 80 Years”. In the caption, Karan Johar wrote: “My brave and resilient mom turns 80 today. She taught me to love…how to stand up for what I believe in…never apologize or justify when I was right…never pretend to be someone I’m not.”

In his lengthy note, Karan addressed his mother as both his “fashion police” and his “hero.” The director-producer shared that to this day, she’s the only person he’s “still scared of.” “She’s both my conscience and my fashion police… Also the only person I’m still scared of… Love you mom to the planets and back…. I could never have raised Roohi and Yash without you,” Karan Johar’s birthday note read. He also added a hashtag that read “mymommyhero.” Check out the pictures below.
Let’s agree that Karan Johar’s birthday cake selection is too good. Previously, the filmmaker chose custom Mickey and Minnie Mouse cakes for the 6th birthdays of his twins Yash and Roohi.
