Vihaan Reddy won his second consecutive title when he defeated Fateh Singh 6-2, 6-4 in the boys’ final of the India Tree ITF junior tennis tournament at Shanti Academy on Saturday.
13-year-old Vihaan, who trains in San Jose, USA, was playing in just his second ITF junior tournament after his triumph in Gurugram last week.
After toying with the idea of attending the U14 event in Indian Wells, Vihaan’s parents have decided to let him continue attending the Indian ITF events in Bhilai and Madurai for the next two weeks.
Over five rounds, Vihaan lost just 16 games total and never lost more than four games in any set.
In the girls’ final, Albina Kakenova of Kazakhstan defeated her compatriot Anastasiya Krymkova, losing five games.
