It is understood Shahzad Shahbaz, President of Sheikh Jassim’s Nine Two Foundation, was present along with Fady Bakhos, the Qatari banker’s personal adviser.
Bank of America’s Sam Powers and Yasir Shah were part of the delegation, along with Macfarlanes’ attorneys and retail real estate experts.
Friday will see another day of presentations and tours at United, with childhood United fan Ratcliffe flying in from Nice, where he owns the city’s Ligue 1 football club.
INEOS co-owners Andy Currie and John Reece will be in Manchester alongside Rob Nevin, Chairman of INEOS Sport, and Jean Claude Blanc, Chief Executive of INEOS.
Dave Brailsford, the former head of British cycling, will also be present in his role as sporting director at INEOS Sport on Friday.
Ratcliffe also owns Swiss club FC Lausanne-Sport, cycling team INEOS Grenadiers and a third of Formula 1 team Mercedes.
Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe are the only interested parties to publicly announce their bids to merchant bankers Raine, but it is reported that there are at least two other bids that are still private at this time.
All bidders are reportedly being asked to submit a second bid for United in the next 10 days.
